Carolyn Samuels

Carolyn is an award winning choreographer, master teacher, and the previous owner and Director of Releve Dance Academy; She brings decades of her expertise to Old Bridge School of Dance.

Trained by Manhattan Ballet School, and Prima Ballerinas, Elfrieda Merman and Dorothea Melvin, she has studied with Frank Hatchett, Katerina Wildish, Finis Jung, Craig North, Germaine Salzburg, Jess Epting, and many others.

Carolyn holds a BA in both, Sociology and Musical Theatre, as well as a minor in music from top ranked, Wagner College, as well as an MSW in Clinical Counseling and Social Work from Fordham University.

She is a lifetime member of Dance Educators of America and Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey, and has trained with The Royal Academy of Dance in their teacher certification program. Carolyn continues to teach Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre,  Acro, Pom, and Precision, as well as train, choreograph, perform, and judge, and is a sought after guest artist throughout the NY/NJ area.
